Kim Kardashian might have damaged Marilyn Monroe's dress at the Met Gala

"Nobody else should be seen in that dress."

It looks like our girl Kim Kardashian has gotten herself into yet another controversy over wearing Marilyn Monroe's dress to the Met Gala.

Side-by-side comparisons of the dress have been shared by Pop Crave on Twitter, allegedly showing signs of stretched fabric and missing crystals on the back closure of the dress.

Bob Mackie, the original designer of the historic dress, was already unimpressed with the reality star wearing the gown, as he revealed in an interview after the Met.

Oof!

"Marilyn was a goddess. A crazy goddess, but a goddess. She was just fabulous. Nobody photographs like that. And it was done for her. It was designed for her. Nobody else should be seen in that dress," Mackie said.

However, in Kim's defence, Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museum assured the Post that all steps were followed to avoid any harm while lending the dress to the reality star.

"This was no easy decision for Ripley's, however, Kim Kardashian has continued to show the utmost respect for this opportunity and historic garment," Ripley's said in a statement.

Even Kim herself said, "I would never want to sit in it or eat in it or have any risk of any damage."

"From extensive research to following guidelines such as no body makeup, only wearing the dress for the short red-carpet appearance, and making absolutely no alterations, she has become a steward and added to its history."

Kim Kardashian has yet to comment on the alleged damage, but she may still be recovering from the last controversy surrounding her 'crash diet' to fit into the dress.
