John Travolta pays tribute to his 'Sandy' Olivia Newton-John

Dame Olivia Netwon-John, 73 "passed away peacefully at her Ranch".

Tributes have started pouring in after the very sad news of Dame Olivia Newton John passing away.

Posting to Facebook, her husband wrote "Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends.

"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer" her husband wrote.

Grease co-star John Travolta shared a photo of Olivia and wrote, "My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again.

Sandy and Danny are one of the most iconic couples ever.

Olivia Newton-John has given us such great songs, and movies. Her legacy, music, and work will live forever!

The director of the iconic musical movie 'Grease' Randal Kleiser, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, "I'm Heartbroken. She was one of a kind, and so very kind. For over four decades of our friendship, she exuded nothing but love to everyone she met. Olivia was exactly the way you imagined her. I will miss her forever."
