From Te Papaeoia (Palmerston North), Chase Woods was inspired by Matariki star 'Hiwa-i-te-rangi' and it's guiding light in his latest waiata Hiwa.
Hiwa is about chasing your dreams; it's about asking Hiwa for help in your endeavours. Chase grew up in a lower-class household/environment but was able to lift himself out of it because of the support from his whānau and my Māoritanga.
