Climate Minister Optimistic About Future Of Farming + Climate Cohesion

"We're going to be working with the industry, not against it, in regards to how we implement those aspects," Watts assures.

New Zealand's Minister of Climate Change and Revenue Simon Watts met with Primary Industry representatives and bankers at the Tempello woolshed near Blenheim earlier in the week.

Speaking to REX Producer Jo Grigg, Watts emphasises the importance of providing policy certainty and accelerating technological innovation to help farmers navigate the challenges posed by climate change.

He also highlights new funding opportunities and ongoing research to meet New Zealand's ambitious export goals.
