A place and likely date has finally been announced for Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury's long-awaited world heavyweight title showdown.
It was announced in March that a two-fight deal had been signed between the two champion boxers, who will bout for the undisputed heavyweight champion title.
Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn announced this morning that the fight is set to take place in Saudi Arabia, likely on the 7th or 14th of August. The latter is his preffered date because the Olympics in Tokyo will be over by then, making the fight a bigger "global spectacle."
The finalised date should be ticked off in "the next, hopefully, few days", Hearn told SkySports.
The two champion boxers have been beefing with eachother on twitter over the last 24 hours, both urging the other to finalize terms for the fight.
According to Hearn, everything is sorted on their side, but "From Tyson Fury's perspective, they've got a couple of lawyers across it from their point."
"We're in a stage where people are getting frustrated. The deal is done."
