'Absolute scenes': The Killers interrupt their own show for important Euro 2024 moment

"They knew what they were doing."

Over an hour into their London gig, The Killers stopped their show... but for a bloody good reason.

The US band knew where priorities lay yesterday with the UEFA Euro 2024 champs in full swing.

So it was a legendary move to pause their concert at The O2 so their fans could watch their team play in the semi-final match.

A clip posted to TikTok shows the band chucking up a massive screen with the final moments of England beating the Netherlands 2-1.

As England snagged the win, The O2 erupted in cheers as red and white confetti shot out from the stage.

Taking to Twitter, the band posted pictures of the scenes with the caption: 'Tonight we played for England!'

Without missing a beat, the band launched into their tune 'Mr Brightside'.

"Absolute scenes,' one TikToker wrote alongside the video.

"I tell you what killers you knew what you were doing ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚," said another.

While a third added: "This is the most English thing I've ever seen."

England is now gearing up to face Spain in the grand final of the Euros 2024 on Monday morning (NZT).
