What your dog's breed tells about your personality

"It appears that we can often tell a lot about a person from the type of dog that they own"

A recent survey done by The Kennel Club discovered that you can find a lot about a person based on their dog's breed.

"It appears that we can often tell a lot about a person from the type of dog that they own," Bill Lambert said on behalf of The Kennel Club.

"It is striking to see how many people unconsciously select dog breeds with personalities that match their own character."

Here is your personality based on your dog's breed:

Border Terrier owners: likely to be charming, lively, and exuberant.

Golden Retriever owners: the most emotionally stable, stated that they were positive and happy

Straffordshire Bull Terrier owners: trustworthy and most affectionate

Jack Russell owners: the most loyal people

Cocker Spaniel owners: the most curious and family-oriented.

Whippet owners: enjoy new experiences and taking risks, and have heaps of hobbies

Pomeranian owners: ranked the most highly on traits relating to agreeableness and extroversion

Miniature Schanuzer owners: organised and tend to follow the rules
