WATCH: Chase and Status drop a tune from 20yo Kiwi DJ Rova during Ultra Music Festival set

HUGE!

Chase and Status have given the greatest possible big-ups to a young Kiwi DJ.

During the UK duo's set in front of tens of thousands at Ultra Music Festival, they played 'Eyes On Me' by Rova, a 20-year-old DJ from Wellington. The bloke only dropped the tune a few weeks ago and it's already being played by one of the biggest acts in the business. How fkn good?

"NO WORDS," he wrote on Instagram. "FOR NZ - YEAR OF THE HOO."

Commenters are loving it for the young fella, acknowledging that it's not just sick for him, but for the NZ DNB scene as a whole.

"This is nuts bro," wrote one person. "So well deserved."

"So sick!" said another. "Proud of you."

"Huge and keen," George Drive's Brook added.

"Yooooooooo," Beccie from George Nights wrote.

"Fuck yes," said Sachi.

How good is all the support from big names in the NZ business? Lesh friggin' go.

Chase & Status are coming to NZ in April. Tickets are already sold out but you can chuck your name on the waitlist here if you wanna do some moshpit damage and potentially hear Rova's tune in the flesh.

This is just the latest highlight in the already glowing young career of Rova. Last year, he was nominated for two DrumandBassArena Awards: Best Newcomer and Best Track for his tune 'Close To Me'.

Ironically, Chase and Status ended up beating him for Best Track ('Baddadan') and he just supported the Best Newcomer winner SOTA at the UK DJ's gig in Wellington over the weekend.

Massive, massive congrats to Rova from everyone here at George. YEAR OF THE HOO, baby!
