Sam Smith is back with a brand new song after almost two years of music hiatus and has just released a powerful music video of it.
The music video starts off with videos of them since they were a baby. The song 'Love Me More' is about finally learning how to self-love and knowing one's self-worth. "Maybe I am learning how to love me more" Sam wrote in his chorus.
The opening lyrics start off with 'Have you ever felt like being somebody else?". To which many of us would say 'yes'.
In a press release, the singer said, "I wrote this song for anyone who feels different, anyone who has to stop themselves every day from saying unkind things to themselves, in their head, all the time".
"I wanted to share that because I captured it in this song. Over the last two years, music has been my therapy more than ever. So I hope this song can be your friend" he added.
"It feels like the perfect way to begin this new chapter with you. It's taken a lifetime to be able to express this type of joy and honesty in my music and I am so happy to have you all here with me" Sam wrote to his fans.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column, "Sam has been in Los Angeles for weeks recording new songs so the project isn't finished yet but the plan is for the album to come out this year."
We absolutely love it and can't wait for more new music from Sam Smith.
