Robert Scott's hilarious story of jumping into a WRONG car after Rod Stewart's concert

It's too good to not share this story!

Robert Scott chatted with Robert & Jeanette from our Auckland breakfast show and told them his embarrassing story from a few weekends ago.

On his way back from Sir Rod Stewart's concert in Hawke's Bay, he and his wife had stopped at a petrol station.

After fueling his car, he quickly went inside the shops to get some snacks.

When he got out of the shop, he heard a familiar *beep* - a car horn.

"'Ah I recognize that car horn," Robert Scott told Robert & Jeanette.

"To my left, in my peripheral vision, I assume that the silver car was our car and I opened up the door to be met by screaming family and yappy dog," Robert Scott added.

He then realized he was in the wrong car. And suddenly, it was not just the family in the car or the yappy dog screaming, but Robert Scott had joined too.

Robert Scott described his screaming as the scene in E.T. when Drew Barrymore screams when she sees E.T. for the very first time.

"Everyone was screaming and I said, 'I'm so sorry'."

Meanwhile, his wife was four car parks away laughing.

He then hurriedly went to the driver and apologized.

It's surprising but these things are relatively more common than you think and it's always a good laugh!
