Local Legend Pork Hutchinson Shares Life Of Farming, Airbnb Hosting, + Pig Hunting

"You can't go to the movies or the swimming pool out here—you just go pig hunting instead," Hutchinson says.

Pork Hutchinson and his wife Ceri manage 800 hectares of land in Whangamōmona, raising purebred Welsh Black beef cattle, renowned for their hardiness on steep terrains.

He talks to Dom about capitalising on the tourism boom, transforming their homes into popular Airbnb spots, a venture spurred by Forgotten World Adventures.

Also an avid pig hunter, Hutchinson talks about his time hunting and how his role has adapted over time to now simply supporting the local community helping organise and run the annual pig hunting event.
