NZ DJ 33 Below is making waves at the moment, mostly thanks to his smash song 'Keep You As A Memory', which we've been blasting on air since it came out over a month ago.
Real name Jack Laven, he's now capitalising on the success of that track, releasing a six-song EP called 'Motions'. Laven threw a party to celebrate the release of his first project and during the festivities, he did an hour-long set that showcased his unreal talent.
Throughout the set, now fully released on his YouTube channel, the Martinborough-raised DJ remixes some of the biggest artists in the world into his own suave sound of house and UK garage.
Brief clips from the set have been posted to his social accounts and his most recent one, where he mixes in Tony Romera's 2020 house rework of Flume's 'On Top', has gained almost 200k views and 29.6k likes at the time of writing.
He also flipped the massive US rapper/producer A$AP Rocky, morphing Rocky's 2013 track 'Fashion Killa' into a house tune. 33 Below's remix of the track is available on Soundcloud under the title 'Asap Rocky - fashion killa (33 below house edit)'.
Drake and Future, two of the biggest artists in the world, also got the edit treatment during Jack's set, as Laven turned the duo's 2021 song 'Way 2 Sexy' into a UK Garage edit.
If his talent isn't enough to turn you into a fan of his, 33 Below has also shown immense respect for his fanbase. Not only does he reply to a lot of the comments on his social posts, but he recently encouraged fans to send in little clips of their lives so he could use them in an upcoming visualiser for his smash tune 'Keep You As A Memory'.
He posted the link to his Instagram story yesterday, so ya can't submit any clips now (unless he posts the link again of course) but the final result should be sick.
Remember the name 33 Below, he's set to pop off in the near future.
