Beef + Lamb NZ General Manager Extension Justine Kidd recently headed across the ditch leading a group of Kiwi farmers to the LambEx24 Event in Adelaide. Touted as the world's biggest sheep, lamb and wool forum it saw some 1500 delegates from Australia, New Zealand, USA and more.
Kidd highlights the transformative insights she gained from the event, particularly around boosting productivity and enhancing meat quality.
She explains there was a large focus on genetics, farm management, and carcass quality, which were outlined as central themes, and provided strong insight that can be applied back home in Aotearoa.
Kidd also delves into the crucial role of data in agriculture, the importance of open communication between farmers and processors, collaboration and more.
