From Rugby To Agritech: Nanobubble Innovation Shines In Agriculture

“We make water hold three or four times more oxygen,” explains Power.

Nanobubble Agritech Ltd, founded in 2020 by former rugby player turned agricultural innovator, Leon Power, is a finalist in the NZ High-Tech Awards, recognising its groundbreaking impact.

By integrating oxygen-rich nanobubbles into existing irrigation systems, Power explains how his technology boosts plant growth, disease resistance, and water efficiency.

He also talks about how growing up working on dairy farms made his transition from rugby to agriculture a natural next step.
