Although both Ed Sheeran and Eminem have collaborated in the past including on eachother's albums - Eminem's 2017 Revival album and Ed's No.6 Collaborations Project (2019) - one thing fans didn't see it coming was a live duet performance on the iconic 'Lose Yourself'.
"I've always been excited to come and play in Detroit," Ed Sheeran told the crowd emphasizing that Eminem is one of his favourite artists and wondering if he could perform his take on 'Lose Yourself'.
"I wondered if I could play you a cover of an Eminem song tonight?" Ed asked.
Right after few lines of kicking off the cover, hometown artist Eminem walked on to the stage in his black hoodie and cap, joining Ed and surprising thousands of fans who were not expecting to see this happen at all.
After their performance, Ed revealed that Eminem was just gonna be up on stage for one song.
"'You can't come on in Detroit and do just one song. Do you want to hear another?" he told the crowd.
The duo also performed Eminem's 2000 hit 'Stan' where Ed covered Dido's parts.
This was Eminem's first public performance since last November at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, where he also performed 'Stan' with Ed Sheeran.
Eminem was one of the inductees of 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
