"This is a chance for livestock farmers to advance their leadership skills and make a significant impact on the sector," Weatherburn says.

In an exciting new development, Beef+Lamb NZ is offering two fully funded spots for livestock farmers to join the prestigious Kellogg Rural Leadership Course in 2025.

Olivia Weatherburn, National Extension Programme Manager for Beef+Lamb NZ, reveals details about this unique opportunity.

She delves into the program which is valued at $15,000 per participant, and aims to boost farm productivity and community leadership through mentorship and a mandatory research project.

Watherburn explains the process is straightforward, focusing on the applicants' backgrounds, motivations, and goals.

Applications are open until October 7th. Interested farmers should visit the Beef+Lamb website and search for "scholarship" to apply.
