Disney has released a tease trailer for the sequel to 'Moana', and this time they've made sure to give Pua, Moana's beloved pet pig more screen time.
The trailer opens up with a reveal of an older Moana.
"This is a call from the ancestors, to sail to new skies, and to reconnect our people across the entire ocean," Moana declares as she embarks on a new adventure.
She's off to a new adventure and this time the entire village and her family's got her back. In the shot where the village waves goodbye to Moana, her parents are seen holding a little girl, who is likely her younger sibling. However, some fans speculate that the child could be Moana's own.
Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui after three years for a 'new voyage' and this time no one's getting left behind. Both Pua (pig) and Hei Hei (rooster) are part of the crew!
Fans are particularly stoked to finally see more of Pua in this sequel.
"I really like how they acknowledged that Pua was left out of the first movie," one wrote.
"Pua finally getting his big role," another wrote.
"Why didn't you bring the pig last time??" THANK YOUU🤣🤣🤣🤣" a third wrote.
Disney's official synopsis states:
"After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she's ever faced".
Moana 2 is set to release in the theatres on November 27.
