Following the barrage of disastrous weather events New Zealand has experienced over the past few years, FarmStrong took the opportunity to speak to some of those most heavily impacted and document it all in a book to hopefully give others in the primary sector more tools to get through tough times in the future.
Hawke's Bay Deer Farmer Harry Gaddum is one of those who shares his inspiring journey through the aftermath of Cyclone Gabrielle and his involvement in the book, 'Getting Through: Recovering from Extreme Weather Events'.
He reflects on the storm's impact, emphasising the resilience and unity within the farming community of Mangatahi, Hawke's Bay.
For those interested in stories of perseverance, the book amongst other information and resources is available on the FarmStrong website.
Listen to the full chat between Harry Gaddum and Dominic George above.
