The new Aussie Netflix series 'Heartbreak High' is being added straight to the top of our list of new shows to binge watch.
The trailer has just been released for the series and hints at the teenage drama, sex, romance, and violence we can expect to see in the 8-part series.
The clip sees Heartbreak High's characters getting up to mischief through partying, performing drag, and even being chased by the police.
A Netflix synopsis reads: "The discovery of a secret map that charts all the hook-ups in the school year makes Amerie, an instant pariah. In an effort to set the hypersexual students straight, the school forces them into a Sexual Literacy Program. With her new friends, outsiders, Quinni and Darren, Amerie must repair her reputation, whilst navigating love, sex, and heartbreak"
Looks like one hectic storyline and we are totally here for it!
Now, if the title rings a bell, you'll already know that this show isn't exactly brand new and is actually a reboot of the '90s show of the same name.
The original was known for starring the likes of 'Avengers: Endgame' actor Callan Mulvey and 'Home And Away' star Ada Nicodemou.
However, the reboot has definitely been adapted with a fresher storyline and highlights LGBTQ+ actors and the importance of their representation.
The show's creator, Hannah Carroll Chapman told Variety, "the reboot has a life of its own," and she hopes "there's a nice balance, that people who love the original show feel the essence of that show."
She added: "but totally reimagined for a new generation."
The series is set to be released on Netflix on September 14, so who's coming around to binge?
