Jake and Logan Paul are promoting a brotherly boxing battle - why everyone reckons it's fake

They're saying it's “the moment you’ve waited a decade for…”

Jake Paul has revealed his next opponent in the ring will be his brother Logan - or will it?

The infamous siblings each shared a post on X revealing what looks like a boxing event scheduled for March, set to stream on HBO Max.

“The moment you’ve waited a decade for…” the post reads.

But while the idea of a brotherly battle in the ring has got fans hyped, there’s also a lot of scepticism surrounding the announcement - and knowing the Paul brothers, there’s plenty of reason why.

According to USAToday, the fight isn’t listed on BoxRec, the official site for sanctioned professional and amateur fights.

However, BoxRec doesn’t list exhibitions, which are staged fights with more of a focus on the audience and entertainment.

So, it doesn’t totally rule out the possibility of an exhibition fight between the brothers, especially with Logan’s part-time contract with WWE.

He has been wildly successful in performance wrestling, claiming the US Championship and participating in multiple premium live events.

He’s set to appear at WWE’s Royal Rumble this weekend, with the potential of joining the WrestleMania 41 card just weeks after Jake’s rumoured fight.

The chances of injuries or training conflicts making it tough for Logan to do both are pretty high.

Other sources suggest the event could actually be promoting a reality TV show.

Max is known for streaming shows including, ‘90 Day Fiancé’, ‘Conan O'Brien Must Go’ and ‘Wipeout’.

Jake’s last fight against Mike Tyson streamed on Netflix, making this shift to Max feel like a strange move if it's a real fight.

More details are expected to drop on Thursday, hopefully clearing up the mystery around what the poster is really promoting.
