Hunters + Anglers Push For Representation On NZ Conservation Authority

"Hunters and anglers are one of the largest users of public conservation land, so to have their voice on that board is highly appropriate," says Gale.

A private member's bill introduced by ACT Conservation spokesperson Cameron Luxton aims to grant hunters and anglers representation in the New Zealand Conservation Authority.

Tim Gale, General Manager of the Game Animal Council, discusses the significance of this proposal, noting that as key users of public conservation land, hunters and anglers deserve to have a seat at the table.

He delves into the specific details of the bill and what it could mean for the future of hunting and fishing in New Zealand.
