Horti Boys Calendar Raises $25,000 For Mental Health

"We saw the calendar as a way to show vulnerability and spark conversations about mental health," says Hamish, also known as "Mr. September."

The Horti Boys 2024 Calendar features a host of horticulture farmers aptly wearing nothing but their produce and has raised over $25,000 in support of mental health.

Tasman’s fourth-generation grower Hamish Rush, also known as 'Mr September', is one of the farmers featured on this year's calendar and chats to Dom about the idea behind this mammoth fundraising event.

He explains that the calendar originated from a casual beer chat and wasn't just about raising funds, but also fostering community camaraderie and openness.

Rush highlights the fun and laughter shared during the photoshoots, emphasising how vulnerability can break barriers and his hope that another district will pick up the baton following their success.
