Habitat for Humanity Northern announced that there are four rent-to-buy homes up for grabs in the suburb of Mangere East in Auckland, through Habitat’s Progressive Home Ownership Programme.
The rent-to-buy scheme allows a whānau to achieve the dream of owning their very own home! So, basically every rent payment goes directly toward the cost of owning the home, making it more achievable to get on the property ladder.
These houses are two-bedroom homes located within a short distance from Mangere East Primary School, the local supermarket, community parks, and public transport.
To be eligible for these rent-to-buy homes you must be a first home buyer, a couple or a small family in a working household who can afford market rent, and the household must have an existing KiwiSaver account.
Habitat for Humanity believes that providing housing security makes “the biggest differences” for whānau and we’re here for it!
