If you saw Puddle of Mudd's cover of Nirvana's about a girl then you'll remember that it was, well, pretty awful.
And if you don't know what we're talking about - just take a watch of the cover below.
The cover was posted in January, and has recently attracted a lot of attention - with around 2,700 likes and 18,000 dislikes.
Yesterday, the band posted a response to all of the attention from the cover, saying "I'm at my BEST NOW... and that's all that matters. I pray for all of you because we care. Jealousy is toxic, and toxic people are a waste of time."
We respect the guy for speaking out about being his best now. It still doesn't change how we feel about the cover though.
However, a video from a 2005 Puddle of Mudd performance has recently surfaced - covering the same song. And it's actually really good. Watch below.
So there ya go. It appears Wes Scantlin can actually decently sing Nirvana's 'About a Girl', or used to anyway.
