Drake is currently on his co-headline It's All a Blur Tour with rapper 21 Savage supporting their collaborative album 'Her Loss'.
However, during their Montreal show, 21 Savage was absent so Drake brought out the one and only J. Cole for a special surprise performance instead.
Introducing his long time friend J. Cole, Drake said:
"One of the greatest rappers to ever touch the microphone. I hope you enjoy yourself".
After the quick intro, the lights on the stage turned off, to slowly light up and reveal J. Cole standing near one of the entry gates- the crowd got louder as they realized J. Cole was the special guest for the night.
The rapper walked to the stage through the crowd wearing a bright yellow tshirt.
Once he got up on the stage, he performed his 2014 hit song 'No Role Modelz' with Drake and followed by few other songs including 'Middle Child' and 'Wet Dreamz'.
He also performed 21 Savage's 'A Lot' as a nod to his absent friend.
Montreal fans from that night were not the lucky ones to witness this surprise.
J.Cole came through the next night to perform again and support Drake.
But the performance was not the only highlight of the night. Drake also asked J. Cole to get him on his next album
"Hopefully an album that I can get on - Imma ask real quick Montreal, J.Cole can I get on your album?" Draked asked.
To which J. Cole replied , "Say less Goddamitt!"
Their friendship goes way back, having collabed on songs before, such as 'In The Morning' and 'Jodeci Freestyle'.
It's always so great to see the biggest names in the bizz come together and make music!
