WATCH: Charlie Puth crashes Kiwi singer Sam V’sTikTok Live to majorly hype his vocals

“This singing is much better than I do."

Imagine casually going live on TikTok, sharing your music with your followers, only to have Charlie Puth himself drop in, compliment your vocals, and offer advice on your unreleased song.

That’s exactly what happened to New Zealand’s own R&B artist, Sam V, in a moment that left him stunned.

Charlie Puth, known for his insane perfect pitch and ability to name any note on the spot, stumbled upon Sam V and his producer Edy on the Beat during a live studio session.

The duo were in the middle of working on a new track when a Grammy-nominated Charlie stumbled upon their stream and unexpectedly joined the chat.

Charlie didn’t hold back his praise after hearing Sam’s vocals at work.

“Your voice is so good, bro,” Charlie told him.

“I don’t know if you need to do all the harmonies on top of your voice,” he advised. “Maybe just let it stand out.”

As the session continued, Charlie even suggested a harmony for them to give a go - and naturally, Sam nailed it!

And if you’re thinking how the heck did Charlie even find an artist from our little corner of the world, he said: “I was just scrolling, and this thing popped up. I’m like, damn, this singing is really much better than I do.”

A clearly over the moon - who wouldn’t be - Sam later posted on his own Instagram, writing: “@Charlie Puth made my year thank you uso 🤯”.

Surely a collaboration soon, eh? I reckon if fans tried hard enough, we could get these two together.

I mean we’ve already had the Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo collab on ‘Savage Love’, so who’s to say it’s not possible?
