Our mates at Farmers had a few suggestions for skincare, fragrance and makeup must-haves, and we gave them a test run to find out what makes them so great.
Here at Edge HQ, our colleagues have to look at our mugs every day, and we know they're VERY honest - so what better place to trial Farmers' best beauty buys and get some reactions in the name of science?

L'Oreal Paris Glotion $39.99
As a self-proclaimed pasty girly, I’m always in the market for something that will give me a bronzed glow. And God knows I need it after these cold winter months.
This lotion can be applied under makeup or onto bare skin to give a luminous goddess vibe. I’d also recommend mixing it with SPF at the start of your routine to elevate your makeup look while keeping sun safe.
I found that the Glotion mixed well with my other base products and it didn’t flake on my face - a massive bonus for me as I’ve had issues with other bronze drops pilling or looking cakey.
Maddie from the Edge office noticed my bronzed glow, saying I looked “radiant” and even asked if I had fake tanned. Bella told me she had to do a “double take” when I walked in as I looked “dewy, glowy, and gorgeous”.
Great, now I’m blushing again.
Maybelline Firework Mascara $36.99
After constantly battling mascara dysmorphia, Maybelline came through and changed the lash game for the tiny little bristles I call eyelashes.
The mascara was super buildable, meaning I could apply multiple coats depending on how much volume I needed that day. My partner Sam even asked if I started getting lash extensions again, which I consider a WIN.
You also won’t have to worry about smudging either. As someone prone to looking like a panda at the end of my work shifts, I found I had no issues with my mascara running. So you can also stay looking fresh and on fleek throughout your work day.
Jacob from the office told me I had the three L’s…long luscious lashes (and yes, you can steal that).

Coola Dew Good Illuminating Serum Probiotic Sunscreen $94.95
The first thing you'll notice about this product is how GORGINI the bottle is. Obviously this is hardly the most important thing, but we're not mad at starting our day with pretty shiny things.
This little beauty is super lightweight and easily absorbed, which I love when so many facial sunscreens are really thick and take half an hour to rub in. It made a stunning make up base - the dewy finish can be seen through a low coverage foundation, but it makes your skin look JUICY on its own, too.
My work wife Stef stopped me in the kitchen to tell me I was glowing and ask what I had done differently, and just when I thought I couldn't feel anymore smug, I read that the sunscreen is also formulated to lessen the damage blue light from screens causes our skin. How good?
Bobbi Brown Weightless Skin Foundation $104
I'm sure I'm not the only gal in the room that dreads foundation shopping. Matching shades, finding the right texture - nightmare stuff.
Enter Bobbi Brown, and cue me asking "where have you been all my life?" I used the shade Golden Beige, and despite it being a total guess, it was a great match. This isn't just luck though - I reckon these shades are more adaptable than most, and the 24 hour coverage can be sheer, medium or full depending on how you apply it.
It has a really light consistency and 'skin balancing technology' to both control oil and maintain hydration - perfect for combination skin like mine.
We all know the gals love to compliment each other, so for first impressions of this product, I went to the boys in the office after I'd been wearing it all day.
Mike told me my foundation looked "very good" and "lovely", while Jacob gave a more comprehensive review:
"Smooth, yeah…nice. Not shiny or splotchy."
After admitting he was "overthinking it", Sam told me it "looked good", before elaborating: "Really even and natural."
Rabanne Million Gold For Her EDP $145
In a cossie livs crisis, it's bloody nice to be able to bring a little luxury to your every day - and this perfume does that without breaking the bank.
The sexy diamond-esque bottle holds a shining fragrance that's described as "radiating an ecstatic glittering energy", and tbh, it's hard to argue with that.
This is a super floral scent, with white flowers, rose and subtle musk notes.
I only managed to spritz it a few times before my colleague Louis screeched "WHO SMELLS SO GOOD?!", launching himself from his neighbouring desk before snatching up the bottle and running away with it. True story.
