Heading to Sounds Series Auckland? Here's all you need to know!

Auckland Sounds kicks off the first of three Sounds Series festivals around NZ!

Sounds Series 2024 is kicking off the first of its' three massive festivals in Auckland on February 29th. And like Leap Day, you want to be sure you don't miss the date! With The Human League, Go West, Nik Kershaw, Mockers, and Choirboys on the bill, it will be a fantastic night with the hitmakers of the '80s at Eventfinda Stadium (previously known as North Shore Events Centre.)

SET TIMES

4pm - Venue Gates open

5pm - Main Entry Arena Doors Open

5.40pm - Festival starts with Rikki Morris, followed by Choirboys, Nik Kershaw, Mockers, Go West and finally The Human League.

11.30pm - Predicted finish time

Be prepared that there may be queues if you don't arrive early. It's advised you aim to be seated 10 mins before the show starts. If you arrive late, you may need to wait to be admitted during a suitable performance break.

PARKING AND TRANSPORT

Access to all pre-reserved VIP parking is from the Silverfield entrance. There will be a number of parking spaces available, however cannot be guaranteed.

For those interested in public transport, there are 2 nearby bus stops; one on Sunnybrae Road and the other outside Pak n Save on Wairau Road. Buses 923, 941 and 901 arrive approximately 400m from the venue.

Mobility parking is available towards the Argus Place end.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

  • Your ticket - either on your phone or as a print out, screenshots will NOT work.

  • Photo ID

  • Sun protection while queuing to enter the venue

  • Suitable footwear

  • A bag smaller than 30cm x 30cm

  • Payments via EFTPOS/Credit Card - this is a cashless event

  • Your happy face to pose at The Breeze photo wall!

If you want a faster entry to the venue, do not bring any sort of bag and use the marked Express Lane.

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

  • External food and beverages

  • Bags larger than 30cm x 30cm (including large handbags and backpacks)

  • Prams inside the venue

There will only be compostable bins at the venue, so avoid bringing in any rubbish that can't be disposed of properly in a compostable or recyclable bin.

FOOD/DRINK

There will be a large variety of food & beverage available. With a range of 40+ beverages to choose from and food ranging from burgers, chicken & chips, bento bowls and pies, there will be options galore.
