Affectionately known as 'Boof', Gary Nesdale is a familiar figure in the Manawatu Rugby and farming communities.
Making 63 appearances for the men's provincial team, Nesdale was appointed as the President of the Manawatu Rugby Union Board in 2022, further stamping his mark on the region's rugby community.
Raised in a family of farmers, he has spent his fair share of time in the shearing sheds, out in the paddock and everything in between.
