MAFS Martha and Michael announce they're expecting their first child

One of our favourite couples from Married At First Sight Australia are becoming parents!

Massive congratulations are in order for one of our favourite couples to come out of Married At First Sight Australia.

One thing is a given when it comes to MAFS, and that's drama. Every season you know there's going to be plenty of it but every so often, a couple actually makes it through the experiment keeping my hope in love alive.

And one of those couples is Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis from the 2019 season.

Because you aren't *legally* married on the show, the couple announced their actual engagement late last year by simply writing 'Mrs B' on Insta.

And now Martha and Michael have shared some even more exciting news...... they're going to be parents!

The couple explained on Instagram that they found out Martha was pregnant while traveling overseas.

Martha says, however "it hasn't been this exciting, wonderful time for us" after being diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum at five weeks.

"We are so excited, we are so happy, it was a complete surprise. But at five weeks I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum." she says.

"Which is severe chronic nausea and vomiting with no relief. It is 24-7. I literally didn't get out of bed for two months.

Michael then added: "It was too early to share as well. We had to disappear offline and give a few excuses."

"I was so sick. I could not eat or drink anything. There were days I didn't even get up to pee. I lost ten kilos in five weeks."

The pair thanked their fans for their concern with Michael writing in the comments "For the record, we don't know the gender. We haven't opened the envelope yet."
