Kmart's done it again with dupes for Milk makeup, Drunk Elephant skincare and Glossier

Less really is more under $10!

Kmart is becoming known for its decent dupes of big-brand beauty products, and they’re not slowing down.

In fact they’ve brought in not one, not two, but THREE whole new lines with products being compared to the likes of Milk, Drunk Elephant and Glossier.

Of course, we already know they’ve aced the dupe game before with their OXX range of body mists sparking likeness to Sol De Janeiro and the recent haircare range drawing similarities to Olaplex

But these new additions are creating even more hype because they’ve all dropped at the same time.

So let’s go through some of the standout new additions and what big-ticketed beauty items you can swap them out for on the cheap.

OXX SUN DAZE vs Milk Makeup

Jelly Lip & Cheek Stains $7 | Dupe of Cooling Water Jelly Tint $49

Australian TikToker Alanah Louise has already tested it out and gave it a pretty solid review.

“It’s so creamy,” she said swiping a very pigmented swatch across the back of her hand. “It’s so soft, it just blends in on its own.”

It looks like a little really does go a long way and though the packaging is small, it seems like a decent amount of product.

Cooling Stick $10 | Dupe of Cooling Water Undereye Gel Stick $35

I’ll be honest, there are some mornings when literally NOTHING can hide the lack of sleep.

So with this promising an “instant refresh with a soothing, cooling sensation,” you best bet I’ll be hoping to look like I got a full 10 hours in.

Highlight and Bronzer Sticks $5 | Dupe of Highlighter Mini Sticks $47

Other products in the range include Tinted Gel BB Creams, Foaming Primer, Lip Gloss and Eyeshadow Quads.

OXX NEON SKIN vs Drunk Elephant

Hydrate and Illuminate Facial Serum $10 | Dupe of Powerpeptide Resurf Serum $153

Although it’s a dupe, the serums share 10 ingredients in common, including Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Sodium Hyaluronate.

These are all moisturizing, skin-conditioning ingredients.

Ceramide Facial Moisturiser $10 | Dupe of Lala Retro Whipped Cream $112

If you’re looking for a moisturiser that isn’t too heavy, this one promises “a burst of hydration” with its ceramide formula.

Nourishing Glow Bronzing Facial Drops $10 | D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops $67

The Drunk Elephant bronzing drops have been all the rage for years, so you know these probably won’t last long on the shelves.

They’ve also got a Niacinamide and Salicylic Acid, Brightening Mask, Glow Serum, Antioxidant Face Oil and Jelly Cleanser in the collection.

OXX SKINCARE vs Glossier

Lip Balms $6 | Dupe of Balm Dotcom Lip Balm and Skin Salve $30

There are 10 new scents in the Kmart range including Berry, Watermelon, Birthday Cake, Strawberry, Coconut, Mint, Fig, Grapefruit, Cherry and mango.

With a smooth finish, our lip care routines can include a flavour for any mood.

Woah, there are genuinely so many new products to choose from. It makes you wonder how OXX and other beauty brands get away with creating such great dupes.

MCo Beauty is known for creating pretty similar products to the bougie brands and has previously explained that it’s totally legal - so long as they follow the right process.

The key difference MCo Beauty founder Shelley Sullivan says is “inspiration vs imitation”.

Basically, she told Mamamia that there’s a rigorous process to ensure any product that resembles another brand is checked by trademark and intellectual property attorneys to make sure it’s all legally above board.

This is probably quite important because these dupes often have loads of ingredients in common as well as similarly styles packaging - as we’ve seen many times with the rise of affordable alternatives.

The more you know, aye?
