Liam Payne is no stranger to stirring up a bit of drama. From his wild Logan Paul interview to his ‘boxing match’ with Tommy Fury (which never happened btw), Liam has been involved in some wild, attention-grabbing moments since One Direction broke up in 2015.
This time, he’s raising eyebrows after his actions at former bandmate Niall Horan's concert left some fans questioning his motives.
While many fans were celebrating the idea of a Niam - Niall and Liam - reunion, others were unimpressed with the 'Strip That Down' singer seemingly seeking some eyes on him.
One commenter wrote: “You can see that he wants attention.”
“Him leaning over the railing and singing to them is insanity,” said another.
Of course, the die-hard 1D fandom quickly jumped in to defend Liam.
“He was enjoying himself and supporting Niall,” one fan wrote, pointing out “This was not while Niall was on stage”.
Another said: “I don’t think he's grabbing attention, he’s just supporting his friend”.
Earlier this week, Liam announced on Snapchat that he was going to Argentina to see Niall’s show and catch up with his ex-bandmate for an important “talk”.
“It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about” Liam said in his Snapchat story. “Not bad vibes or anything like that. But we need to talk”.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall during that convo!
It’s great to see Liam and Niall reuniting. Surely next time they can message Harry, Louis, and Zayn?? Maybe plan a wee reunion?? Please??
