WeatherWatch CEO Breaks Down NZ's Wild Spring Weather

"It's one of those springs where we're a little bit more on our toes, but for the most part, it should be warmer than average," he notes.

As New Zealand transitions out of winter and into spring, WeatherWatch CEO Phil Duncan offers a deep dive into what the country can likely expect over the next few weeks.

With spring arriving early this year, Duncan highlights the impact of the sweeping windy westerlies, which are driving above-average temperatures across the nation.

He also raises the heightened risk of severe weather due to frequent low-pressure zones and massive storms brewing south of New Zealand.

Despite the chaotic weather, Duncan reveals there are silver linings with some regions like North Canterbury and Marlborough experiencing much-needed rain relief, although overall conditions remain dry.
