'We cannot wait!': Kiwi DJ duo announce Tomorrowland debut

FIZZINGGG

Yes yes, the monstrous Belgium EDM music festival Tomorrowland is slowly approaching. This morning a STACKED line up hit socials, with one stand out name making the bill - and making NZ proud.

Aotearoa's very own Pirapus were spotted amongst the huge number of artists announced today. The production powerhouse with tunes like 'POWER',  'SUPERNOVA ft Brody Leigh' and of course 'GO BACK (We Can’t)' are continuing the legacy of NZ drum and bass on the world stage.

George Murray and Ben Hollamby (aka Tex) had their roots in Christchurch but quickly gained attention from drum and bass legends such as Sub Focus, Andy C, Pendulum and more.

After winning the George Breakthrough artist of the year award in 2021,  it was only up from there. With releases on prestigious labels like DnB All Stars as well as collabing with international producers Andromedik, Primate and REAPER, it’s safe to say these boys mean business.

The lads showed their appreciation in the comments saying:

TOMORROWLAND we cannot wait! NZ represent 🇳🇿

Of all places, George (one half of Pirapus) shelled out a set at the Whitianga Hotel on our third George Summer Tour gig (had to be there).

Another Summer Tour artist set to join Pirapus at Tomorrowland is T & Sugah. The Dutch duo will be throwing town in both Queenstown and Christchurch next weekend!

In the past few years we were stoked to see Montell2099 and Sachi flying the New Zealand flag in Belgium and we are over the moon that another Kiwi act will be taking on the iconic festie.

The countdown is on for many of us entering Euro summer mode, so if you were wanting to catch some local talent in the big leagues this year, Tomorrowland might just be a goer.
