Spotlight On Excellence: Beef + Lamb NZ Awards Finalists Revealed

“These awards are about the people...and we need good people for a strong future," Acland says.

The Beef+Lamb NZ Awards are being held at the Claudelands Event Centre in Hamilton on Thursday, and Beef+Lamb NZ Chair Kate Acland talks to Dom about how the event is shaping up this year.

She says it promises to be a "glitzy affair," celebrating the cream of New Zealand agriculture across eight diverse categories.

Acland highlights some notable finalists including Lone Star Farms and Growing Future Farmers, both lauded for their contributions to people development.

She also praises the Science and Research Award contenders, such as Andy Dumbleton and Dr David Hume, and shares her enthusiasm as a tech enthusiast for the Technology Award nominees like FarmIQ and Zoetis Shepherd.

For more information about the Awards night, nominees, tickets and more head to the Beef+Lamb NZ website and keep an eye on their social media channels for winners from the night.
