Skrillex plays first solo set in a decade at Ultra Miami before flash flood shuts it down

And the entourage he brought with him is insaaane.

After a whopping 10 year hiatus from Miami music festival ‘Ultra’, electronic music legend Skrillex finally gave his Magic City fans what they have been yearning for.

Ultra Miami was blessed on their 25th anniversary weekend with none other than the big dog himself, who brought along a plethora of special guests.

Damian Marley, Naisha, Young Miko and of course, bad man Flowdan, all jumped in on the madness of Skillex’s set performing all the favourites.

Damian Marley dropped the OG ‘Make it Bun Dem’. Naisha was given a special shout out by Skrillex for her first time ever singing on a stage. Young Miko popped up for her tune with Skrillex ‘Apaga La Luz’ and Flowdan coming in clutch with ‘Rumble’, ‘Badder (VIP)’ and even an edit of ‘Baddadan’.

Skrillex’s return set at the festival wasn’t the only headline-making moment, though. Over the weekend, the whole show had to be "temporarily closed” due to severe rainfall.

The Weather Service of Miami issued a flash flood warning with a total of six inches of rain to be expected.

The rain didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of the festival goers, but comments flowed in of people reliving their trauma when last year's bad weather caused an evacuation on the first day.

One person suggests they will just “will swim for Martin" in order to see ‘Garrix’ perform.

Another joked:

Now I know today’s special guest is heavy rain kkkkk.

With the final day's line up featuring Martin Garrix, deadmau5 and Zedd, festival organisers advised “the event has restarted”.

Seems like nothing can truly rain on Ultra's parade - nothing wrong with a little rain dance!
