Sir Elton John and Britney Spears team up to release a duet of his classic 'Tiny Dancer'

Will this song become this year's summer anthem?

Earlier this year it was reported that Sir Elton John would be teaming up with Britney Spears to release a duet of his 1971 classic, 'Tiny Dancer'.

A source told the New York Post: "This was Elton's idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of 'Tiny Dancer' as a full duet — and it is incredible"

Leading into the song's release there we're a few leaks, with a sample going viral on TikTok and even Elton himself previewing the track in a restaurant in France.

However, the full track in all its glory is out now across all major streaming platforms and is already #1 in many countries.

Last year, Sir Elton John teamed up with pop star Dua Lipa for 'Cold Heart' which easily climbed up the charts ever since its release. Earlier this year ARIA crowned the single as the '2022 song of the summer'.

The track's breezy, uplifting vibe and the vocals helped the hit to earn the number one spot.

"With Pnau records we have a similar intent, which is a burst of positivity and joy; it's celebratory. We essentially wanna lift people up, and I think this record has that in the way that the lyrics tell a tale and melodically, it rouses you" said Nick Littlemore of Pnau, the producer of the hit.
