ProTag's Smart Tags Set To Transform Livestock Management

"Our goal is to basically be that 24-7 shepherd watching the stock," Parr explains.

ProTag is a next-generation smart tag that enables deeper individual animal insights through world-leading behaviour analytics and advanced location monitoring.

Designed for dairy and dry stock cattle, with future plans for sheep, these tags deliver real-time behavioural data every 15 seconds, helping farmers remotely manage herds and predict critical events like calving.

CEO + Co-Founder Baden Parr explains how the technology utilises machine learning to analyse animal behaviour, making farming more efficient and informed.

Currently in advanced trial stages, Parr says the product aims for commercial launch next spring, and is excited to see how the technology could revolutionise agricultural practices in the near future.
