New Zealand Blueberries Make Debut In South Korea

"Being able to add Korea is fantastic. It's a similar situation where not too many other countries can export to Korea," Bezuidenhout says.

New Zealand's blueberry industry is celebrating a significant milestone as it breaks into the South Korean market, marking a new chapter for the country's fruit exports.

Kelvin Bezuidenhout, CEO of Blueberries New Zealand, details the journey to achieve this landmark opportunity following a duty-free agreement and extensive biosecurity checks.

He explains the move into South Korea diversifies New Zealand's export portfolio, which is traditionally dominated by Australia.

As New Zealand blueberries make their way to Korean tables, Bezuidenhout says the focus now shifts to establishing a strong foothold in this promising market.
