Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi had no idea when he stepped off the plane in Auckland for his first ever NZ visit, that he'd be welcomed with a powhiri and waiata at Auckland Airport.
Hatea Kapa Haka welcomed the singer with a performance of 'Someone You Loved' in Te Reo, which, when he took a second to notice, happily pointed out to his crew that he knew it was his song.
The singer then did a hongi with members of the group, and sung with them while they provided the beautiful choir vocals.
