It’s back and better than ever - BlueSky Fiji sets sail 31st of October at the stunning Mana Island Resort.
With a monumental line up featuring some of New Zealand’s best DJs and musical acts, BlueSky Fiji is looking like your go to for all summer party needs.
Amongst the line up is NZ rapper and producer Kings. The artist jumped in the chat with Sin and Brook on George Drive yesterday and shed some light on his previous times at BlueSky Fiji.
Kings goes on to say that this will be his third BlueSky Fiji and that he “shot ‘Don’t Worry Bout It’ there”.
‘Don’t Worry Bout It’ was the theme song for Summer 2016 with a video that captured the digital vacation vlogging style we still see today. The lyrics “sun screen sun tans and bikini's” will forever be etched into my brain. Clocking over 3 million views on Youtube, the music video is captioned:
This impromptu video was shot on MANA ISLAND in FIJI for the George Fm BlueSky party!
Kings went on to say to Sin and Brook that he “might redo a video”. Ella Monnery who is also featured on the BlueSky Fiji line up and partner to Kings, chimed in with:
And everyone has to be in it, it’s our time to shine…I love Fiji, it’s probably my favourite place in the world.
Kings shared a post on Instagram outlining his "full circle" moment.
My artist career fully began at (BlueSky), years ago I MC'd for my brother General Lee at this event, I took the opportunity to shoot a music video on my iPhone for a song called "Don't worry bout it" which went on to be one of NZ's biggest singles... Time to run it back.
The two artists will be joined by many other familiar names in the New Zealand Electronic scene. From Lee Mvtthews, P Diggs, Tali and Tiki Taane to your favourite George DJs - Sin, Brook, Abeiku, Beccie B, General Lee, Bax and more.
