KFC is letting you pay for your feed with fake money - for one day only

Time to dust off the old board games!

We’ve all joked about slipping Monopoly money into our wallets, but tomorrow, that dream kinda comes true.

For once, you can grab a feed without technically spending any of your hard-earned cash.

Crack open that old board game and blow the dust off that fake moolah, because KFC is actually accepting any fake currency as the real deal.

Tomorrow, Kiwis can rock up to any KFC store around the country and swap fake paper notes for a real feed of fried chook.

You’ll need to time your smoko and lunch breaks well because you can only use imaginary money between 10am and 4pm.

And before you start dreaming of scoring a whole bucket with a pink fiver, it’s limited to a few menu items.

With any other purchase, your fake cash can score you either two Secret Recipe Chicken and fries, two Hot & Crispy Boneless and fries, or six Chicken Nuggets and fries.

KFC’s Clark Wilson says “you’re are guaranteed to walk away a winner” in this game without even needing to pull the board out.

Just try not to look too suspicious when a few $200 are missing from the banker's pot when you next pass ‘Go’.

I guess that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make to get my fried chick fix.
