'I Want It That Way': Drake joins The Backstreet Boys surprising his home town

Drake shared how much the song meant to him as a child.

Drake performed as an honorary sixth member with The Backstreet Boys at Budweiser Stage, Toronto over the weekend.

The rapper made a surprise appearance on the stage to share his love for the 90's boy band as they were finishing up their show in his hometown.

Members of the boy band also paid tribute to Drake by including parts of Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" into their 1999 hit 'I Want It That Way.'

Drake expressed how much the song meant to him as a 13-year-old-kid, giving him a real confidence boost with his childhood crush.

Bless!

The rapper told the crowd: "At my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this girl I was in love with came up to me while one of the greatest songs in the world was playing, and she asked me if I would dance with her."

As the song began, he went on to call it "one of the greatest songs in music history."

This collaboration is not one we expected or thought we needed but honest, we are here for it!
