An unlikely star has emerged from the Paris Olympics - the mouth-watering chocolate muffin served to the athletes in the Olympic village.
The hype began when Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen scored the now-famous choccy muffin a whopping 11\\10 on TikTok.
He's since posted mainly muffin-related videos, sidelining his professional swimming content. And he's not the only one talking about them - the craze has Google searches for 'chocolate muffins' surging by 1,523%.
As someone who once started a fire while baking a cake on The Sims, I didn't think I was the right person to try and bake these at home, but my boss told me I had to, so here we are.
I was surprised at how easy they were to make, and I thought they lowkey slapped, but I had to put them to the test by getting my flatties and workmates to try them.
I finally found the perfect recipe online - shout out to Rosa Bakes - and was stoked to find the prep only took me around 15 minutes and I hadn't broken or ruined anything before the muffins went in the oven.
After checking the muffs every two minutes to make sure they weren't cremated, the final product ended up being *chef's kiss.*
So if you don't reckon you can make it to Paris and pose as a high-performance athlete before the Olympics are over, I'd highly recommend giving these a bit of DIY energy and enjoying the results.
