Dane Rumble fans are begging him to play the last Jim Beam Homegrown in Wellington

“Let's 👏 Make 👏 This 👏 Happen 👏."

With the announcement that the Jim Beam Homegrown festival will leave its OG Wellington location after 2025, fans are rallying for a Kiwi music legend to give it the ultimate send-off.

Posting to the ‘Vic Deals’ Facebook page, Dane Rumble fan Hollie Cranston DM’d the man himself, begging for an appearance at the iconic Kiwi gig.

“Hello, I’m writing on behalf of myself and many friends,” she began - and she can count us in that group too.

“We’d really love for you to come perform at Wellington Homegrown 2025. It’s the last year ever [in Wellington] and just not the same without you,” she continued.

“We miss you very much and we hope to see you and the Fast Crew there xx. Every day we rumblin’.”

Hollie isn’t alone in her big request. Fans quickly backed her plea in the comments.

“Let’s 👏 Make 👏 This 👏 Happen 👏,” one wrote.

“There’s no question, it would be a must!” added another.

“Wellington is ready to RUUMMBBLLLLLEEEEEE!!! How could you be so cruel to me 😭,” a third joked.

However, bringing the ‘Cruel’ singer back might not be so simple.

One fan noted: “Looks like his FB page hasn’t been used for yeeears!”

They suggested: “Why not email his companies via their website? I’m sure he’d be chuffed to see an avid fan from Welly trying her hardest to reach him haha.”

Another commenter shared their own attempt to lure Rumble to R&V back in 2020.

While they did get a response, Rumble - who said he was “dead keen” to attend - had to politely decline, mentioning “travel logistics” since relocating to Australia in 2019.

So for now, it seems we’re all stuck waiting for an update from Rumble in Hollie's DMs.

And the longer we wait, the more cruel it feels!
