Grab your popcorn, it looks like Camila Cabello might’ve confirmed a feud with Sabrina Carpenter..
Over the weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Camila performed ‘Senorita’, her steamy duet featuring ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes (who was obvi not present).
When it came time to sing the very horned-up lyric: “You say we're just friends/But friends don't know the way you taste”, Camila purposely left out the word “taste”, and the expression on her face is to die for.
Fans reckon this is major shade towards Sabrina Carpenter, whose recent hit ‘Taste’ is allegedly about Sabrina being in a love triangle with Camila and Shawn. The music video stars Sabrina alongside Jenna Ortega, who people reckon is playing the role of Camila Cabello.
Why is this SO juicy? Because Sabrina and Camila both dated Shawn Mendes in a similar time frame in 2023. One week Shawn was spotted hanging out with Sabrina, the next he was locking lips with Camila at Coachella.
The drama has now played out on both Sabrina and Camila’s new albums, where both ladies seemingly addressed the situation in multiple songs.
Shawn Mendes is also set to release a new self-titled album in October, which is meant to be his most personal yet.
Not all fans are convinced Camila’s stunt is a sign of beef, though.
One commenter asked “has anyone considered that she was giving her credit and not shading her?”.
They also pointed out: “in the Taste music video it ends with them BOTH realising he wasn’t it”. Another speculated: “I think they do this for the tea on purpose and are actually in each other's DM’s planning more shenanigans.”
