The iconic three-day New Year's celebration is preparing to throw its ultimate bash in Gisborne before relocating in 2027. Marking the end of an era, Chapter 24 of Rhythm and Vines has officially dropped its first lineup with a world-class mix of international heavyweights, returning festival legends, and beloved local talent to send off 2026 in style.

Waiohika Estate has hosted generations of festivalgoers welcoming the first sunrise of the new year, but 2026 marks the last time the event takes place on these historic grounds before relocating in 2027. Global house star John Summit and Amsterdam techno favourite KI/KI make their anticipated festival debuts, alongside Belgian drum and bass icon Netsky returning for his eighth appearance. Live sets from Vince Staples, Sir Dave Dobbyn, and pop star BENEE ensure every music fan gets a massive farewell experience in Aotearoa.

Exclusive to onsite campers, the festivities kick off early on Monday 28 December with the Waiohika Warmup. Celebrating 10 years since its launch in 2016, the opening night features two dedicated stages. UK bass powerhouse Hamdi headlines the Rhythm Stage, joined by Sless, G-Banga, Heno, Kenzo, Protocol, Tayza, and George FM Wildcard winner Tandem. Meanwhile, the Cellar Stage hosts Club Sachi, Chris Keene, Choonage, Cash, Lyall, Milliondollarbibi, Grumpy Girl, and Wildcard winner Lesnack.

The Waiohika Warmup has long served as an essential springboard for local electronic talent, with past warmup alumni including Messie, Lee Mvtthews, Rova, and Ciko. Tandem and Lesnack earned their coveted 45-minute opening night slots by winning the George FM Wildcard finals on George Nights. With camping options in Treble, Premium, and Bass Camp already at capacity, campers are encouraged to lock in remaining spaces in Meadow, Rhythm, and Lil Treble Camp quickly.
